Our accomplishments…

In the early days, Jacobs Homes was the first to offer customized floor plans, air conditioning and imported materials as well as the first builder in Northbrook to use insulated sheathing and plaster walls in new home construction.

In 1990, JacobsHomes donated 27 acres of environmentally sensitive areas to the Illinois Nature Preserve.

In Northbrook alone, Jacobs developed 14 prestigious communities.

Proceeds from the opening gala of Hybernia were donated to Lambs Farm, a nonprofit organization that provides vocational, residential and social opportunities to more than 250 adults with mental disability.

In 1998 JacobsHomes donated a piece of land in Morton Grove so the residents of Morton Woods could have a safe neighborhood park for their children.  The park was named Jacobs Park.

From 1999-2000, Jacobs Homes was selected by financial institutions to revive distressed, bankrupt property and successfully turned them into financially viable communities as the Cotswolds of Northbrook, the Legacy club in Highland Park and Salceda Cove of Northbrook.

in 2001, JacobsHomes’ most successful development, Noahs’s Landing in Buffalo Grove opened sales and sold 80% of the units in just 48 hours.  The following year we built and closed all 53 units.

!n 2006, the first ever Agents’ Choice Awards named The Jacobs Companies’ newest community, The Sanctuary Club, “best floorplans” of any suburban developer.

In 2007, the Sales and Marketing Council of the Homebuilder’s Association of Greater Chicago recognized JacobsHomes as winner of the 2007 Sammy Awards for style and design.

In 2009, The Jacobs Companies announced their newest division…JHI Remodeling a highly anticipated special projects division and often requested amenity long overdue.

In 2010, The Jacobs celebrated 75 years of excellence as a family business that has survived the test of time in a market where longevity is hard to come by.

Halfway through 2013, while many builders are closing their doors, Jacobs remains a viable, formidable company emerging stronger, wiser and more in tune with the lifestyles and needs of today’s buyers.
